The Art of Leaves
Welcome to Fine Art on Leaf — where nature becomes the canvas and every piece tells a story that began in the forest.
Who I Am
I'm Pauline, the artist and maker behind every piece you see in this shop. My work is rooted in a deep love for the natural world and a belief that the most beautiful materials are the ones the God already provides. I've spent years perfecting the craft of transforming leaves — with all their textures, and imperfections — into handmade paper that is as unique as the plant it came from.
How Leaves Become Paper
The process begins with carefully selecting leaves at their peak — chosen for their structure, texture, and character. Each leaf is prepared by hand, broken down into its fibrous components to create a pulp that carries the essence of the original plant.
The pulp is then hand-poured onto a flat surface, and slowly dried — a process that can take days. No two sheets are ever identical; that means every piece of leaf paper is genuinely one of a kind.
The Craftsmanship Behind Each Piece
There are no machines, no shortcuts, and no mass production here. Every artwork is made entirely by hand, from the first leaf collected to the final piece ready for your home. This slow, intentional process is what gives each work its depth and authenticity.
I work in small batches, which means the pieces available in this shop are always limited. When something sells out, it's gone — because I can't simply reprint it.
Why Leaf Paper?
It was during Covid-19 when the world was literally at a standstill am we were confined to home. I was cleaning the leaves off two big trees in my yard; during the Fall of 2021, when the thought came to me. I couldn’t shake the idea; I believe it was God inspired. God gifted me with the ability to turn leaves into permanence beautiful works of art…
Leaves are fleeting. They bloom, they fall, and then they decompose. My work is about repurposing the leaves — transforming organic materials into lasting impressions that you can hold, frame, and treasure for years to come.
Each piece in this collection is a collaboration between my hands and nature. I have never been to Art School; but God has inspired me to paint! I hope these artworks brighten your home and bring a little of that quiet, organic beauty into your space.
Thank you for your supporting ; and I am happy to share these amazing handmade work of art.
