Who I Am

I'm Pauline Simpson, an artist captivated by the fleeting beauty of the natural world. My journey began with a simple observation: leaves, in all their intricate detail, are already works of art. My role is simply to honor and preserve that beauty — transforming organic materials into lasting impressions that can be cherished for generations. This project came from an inspiration from God who gifted me and enables me to create these beautiful artwork to share with the world!

How Leaves Become Art

Each piece starts with a careful search for the perfect leaf — one with the right texture, veining, and character. The transformation from leaf to paper is a meticulous, hands-on process:

1. Harvesting – Leaves are hand-selected at their peak, chosen for their unique shape and natural detail.
2. Preparation – Each leaf is carefully cleaned and treated to preserve its structure and integrity.
3. Papermaking – Using traditional techniques, the leaf is worked into a fine paper medium, retaining its organic texture and veining.
4. Artistry – The finished leaf paper becomes the foundation for original artwork — painted, drawn, or left to speak for itself.

One of a Kind, Always

Because every leaf is unique, no two pieces are ever the same. The natural variations in shape, color, and texture mean that when you bring one of these works into your home, you own something that exists nowhere else in the world. That's not a marketing phrase — it's simply the nature of nature.

Each artwork is created slowly and with great care. There are no shortcuts, no mass production — just a single artist, working with materials gifted by the earth, creating something meant to last.
